It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

“David has been the administrative director for First Shot for the last 4 years, and before that he was an active board member. His leadership has helped take our non-profit up several levels. His management of the financial, marketing, and operational aspects has enabled the organization to grow in the number of people and markets we serve and how much we have to spend on those markets. He has developed our strategies on social media, grant-writing, and the development of the First Shot STEM Academy which allows us to provide STEM education after school programs to kids that would never have that chance. With any business challenge, he can figure out a solution and has the connections to make it happen!”

“I have worked with David for several years and have found his advice to be measured, thoughtful and at the same time creative. David is about doing the right thing and making sure everyone involved is treated fairly and without prejudice. Depending on the type of work he is helping with, David has the ability to look at the big picture and find the gaps to improve systems, processes and make suggestions that make total sense. Whether he is negotiating a deal or helping to make business decisions, I can always count on his upfront and honest opinion on how to move forward.”
